About me |
I am searching for a woman who stands by her promises. I never expected such a woman would be so hard to find. Someone loyal, sweet, smart, witty, passionate, delicate, lady-like, and mature. A devoted partner. Not someone who merely takes what they can get from a relationship and bolts for the door. Someone who is a teammate with whom to face life’s challenges. As for me, I currently work for a Member of Congress as a (somewhat unlikely) Communications Director, arranging media interviews, writing speeches, etc... I’m generally a bit shy (thus the "somewhat unlikely" bit). I’m told I have a rather cynical/sarcastic sense of humor, though I also consider fairly optimistic, and, on a related note, am not easily distressed or otherwise flustered. I love to learn and sort of embody the idiom, "jack of all trades." I’m very even-keeled and logical, arguably to a fault. I’m both a nerd and a geek, and if you can think of a stereotypically geeky pastime/pursuit, there’s a decent chance I like it. I adore music and play several instruments with varying degrees of proficiency. I hail from the southeastern United States and, despite having been born in Georgia, I consider Greenville, South Carolina my true home. I love the mountains and just about anything to do with Appalachia. I grew up the son of a pastor, so read into that what you will. I also generally hate writing in the first person, so I hope this profile doesn’t make me sound as arrogant as I feel when talking about myself in such detail -- unfortunately, it’s kind of the nature of the beast and, as an aside, I suspect talking about myself in the third-person probably wouldn’t mitigate the feeling of self-importance. :) I hope you will feel completely free to ask me any questions. |
