What happened to mutual respect?

Every day I read the news, listen to random conversation while waiting to purchase my cup of “hot bean water”, or witness the daily examples each of us display when interacting with our fellow humans. I have spent the better part of half my life traveling and living amongst different cultures, people and it has been humbling and amazing. I am always proud to be who I am and open to beliefs that I may not understand or choose to believe in but always happy to learn. Why is it “we” cannot seem to possess the ability to say “I don’t agree with you, or believe as you believe, and that’s okay!” Like WTF?! Is up? I can assure you that no society exists without strife and struggle but damn. Do we really need to add to the drama? So I encourage you to approach each day with the eyes of a child, the mind of someone capable of learning. And finally, thinking how what you learn actually affects you. Maybe you will see that others beliefs or practices don’t hurt you. What a concept. Finally, there are only good people and bad people. I want to believe there are still more good than bad. And if we the “good” do not allow the bad to speak loudest, we might just be heard and can change the bad, or ostracize those less intellectually engaged out of our circle. So to you good people, I thank you. And to the idiots, please go find the edge of our flat planet and jump off.

good point Bir/05/2024 09:44:22 i know what you say, and i understand it, i myself try to open peoples mind and help them see that there are some idiot ideas that seems to " help" people but in reality they only make people want to be more bad and more for themselves. I understand that the world is full of bad people but i think that many of the bad humans have been good at some point, but they changed because of some stupid ideas of because they got tired of been hurt. but i think we can change that if we learn how to be more united and spred the good word out there. i have wrote things like this on my blog on facebook, i will try to add them here on the blog to, hoping that more people will see them. anyway, good blog take care and my be some day we will met and talk about it Yonik
